Comedian, actress, writer and producer Amy Schumer has been getting a great deal of press lately, especially in regard to her recently released and critically acclaimed comedy, “Trainwreck,” co-starring SNL alumni Bill Hader. But it’s her recent photo shoot with GQ magazine that has Disney despondent, some Star Wars fans steaming and Hollywood buzzing all over the Twitterverse about their latest issue that will hit newsstands in August.
In this sexually suggestive cover shot, Schumer is sucking the robotic finger of C-3PO and inside the men’s magazine, there’s more illicit images of the comedian. One photo shows her laying nude with both the golden droid and his counterpart R2-D2, smoking a cigarette in between the sheets, which suggests the happy ending of a threesome with these less-than-cuddly Disney-owned characters.
While some fans of these two iconic Lucasfilm characters are screaming foul, the two mindless robots can obviously offer no opinion on the matter. However, actor Mark Hamill, who once played Luke Skywalker in the science fiction classics released in the seventies and eighties, chimed in.

Parent company Disney fired back on multiple occasions being less than enthusiastic when they Tweeted, “Lucasfilm & Disney didn’t approve, participate in or condone the inappropriate use of our characters in this manner.” This was most likely in response to some fans of the classic films and their beloved characters when they denouncing the move by GQ, calling it “lame” and “tasteless.”
What do you think? Did she go too far or is it no big deal? Did she defile these lovable Star Wars characters or do them justice in these sexy shots? Can’t resist this last one, should the Force be with her or did Schumer join the Dark Side? Please leave your comments below:
