It’s tough being left-handed. From power tools (saws are the worst), to spiral notebooks (positioning at a 45 degree angle helps), to scissors (I hold them upside down), to writing (left to right), left-handers have to navigate around a litany of right-handed obstacles on a daily basis.
There is one area in which lefties have a distinct advantage; sexual satisfaction. A global sex survey sponsored by Lelo, a popular sex toy company, revealed that south paws, who represent between 12 to 15 percent of the general population, were 71 percent more likely to be satisfied sexually.
The survey also revealed that 86 percent of the left-handed participants reported as being “Extremely Satisfied” with their sex lives as opposed to just 15% of righties.
Why the deep seated satisfaction? Left-handers tend to exhibit right brain dominance. The right side of the brain processes primary emotions, such tenderness and excitement, as well as the ability to empathize. Also, the right hemisphere of the brain is sometimes referred to as the “sexy side” of the brain, because it seems to govern the actual point of orgasm.
What ever the reason, it’s definitely a boon to be left-handed when it comes to the bedroom.
