3 Tips for Tantric Sex: Yoga, Meditation and Massaging the Chakras

We’ve all heard about tantric sex and how it can lead to amazing orgasms and a real joining of the souls in addition to the coming together of two bodies.  However, for most people, the idea of tantric sex is really out there.  You imagine that you have to spend hours meditating with the other person before you even get to touch them.  And this might be how certain people practice tantric sex.  However, you don’t have to go to such extremes; you can use some simpler techniques drawn from ancient Indian scripture to enhance your sexual experience.

  1. Yoga.
    A lot of people practice yoga just for mental calm and physical well-being.  Yoga puts you in a good frame of mind.  It helps you to get along with people and be more productive.  But did you know that yoga can help you to have good sex too?  Often, people start feeling a bit sexual during vigorous exercise like running and feel ready for sex after a long jog.  It’s a similar principle with yoga.  Your body is already warm, flexible and feeling good after a yoga session.  Try practicing a few yoga poses with your partner before having sex and you’ll see the difference.  Your sensations will be stronger and your orgasms more powerful.
  2. Meditation.
    You don’t have to practice an hour of meditation in order to reap its benefits during sex.  You can just meditate for 5-10 minutes and you’ll find your sex a lot more enjoyable.  In fact, if you do a search for guided meditations on the internet, you’ll see that there are many short guided meditations available that you and your partner can tune into.  Try one of these before sex.  You’ll find that your mind calms down completely and you can really focus on the sexual aspect without thinking about what’s been worrying  you during the day.
  3. Massaging the chakras.
    According to ancient Indian scripture, there are seven main chakras in the body—the third eye chakra which is on the forehead, the throat chakra, the thymus-thyroid chakra (just below the throat, between the collar bones), the heart chakra, the solar plexus chakra (right below the heart), the sacral chakra (right below the belly button and the root chakra (in the genital region).  For perfect health, these chakras have to be functioning perfectly.  And massaging the chakras can release a lot of pent up energy.  Use a light massage oil and don’t massage for longer than 1-3 minutes at first or the sensations might be a bit intense.  You’ll notice a subtle increase in pleasure during sex.
