Do Women have Better Sex Lives after Breast Implants?
Well, yes. At least according to a rather limited study in which researchers had 45 breast augmentation candidates fill out questionnaires before and after surgery. The questionnaire assessed their sexual desire, arousal, and sexual satisfaction. Patients were then asked to retake the questionnaire two, four and 18 months after surgery.
36 of the 45 respondents reported a boost in sexual arousal and greater sexual satisfaction. The other nine? Well, they had post-surgical stretch marks and didn’t report any improvement in their sex lives. I guess shelling out $3,000.00 to $10,000 to acquire new stretch marks with your new boobs would put a damper on your sexual desire.
Those that underwent trouble free breast augmentation felt better about themselves after the procedure. I believe that it’s reasonably safe to assume that external forces are a prime motivator for the increased feeling of physical self worth.
Whether that’s good or bad depends on an individual’s perspective, I guess.
